*Erris Pure Soaps

Hand made organic skincare from Mayo's wildest, most rugged and beautiful Island.  The raw materials come from the beaches, mountains and bogs, seaweeds, spring water, heather and turf, Flowers, leaves and herbs from island gardens. This range made exclusively for Lúnasa includes ingredients sourced local to us. 

Achill Pure is run by Stuart Foster. His career has wandered through agriculture, construction and manufacturing. When he retired he moved with his wife to their house in Mayo, busying himself with renovations to the house and developing some of the surrounding bog into a garden.

His grandchild was born with a very sensitive skin. After much research, blending, tweaking, waiting and sometimes failing, he produced something his daughter was prepared to use on her little boy who was, by then, about 12 months old. Thankfully it relieved the irritation, and he still relies on it. 

We met Stuart as an early member of the Mayo craftworks group back in 2012 when we opened the store. He had expanded the product range to include many more locally associated varieties of product, including seaweed, heather and turf!
