Emma Eustace is the woman behind Big Leap Designs. Based in the rural village of
Béacán (Bekan) in Co Mayo Emma is originally from Dublin and studied design in college. After a spell in London she returned to Ireland to set up Big Leap Designs in 1992.
In 1998 the lure of Mayo and the West of Ireland landed her in the small village she now calls home. Later that year the storm of late December 1998 destroyed the trees in the garden and in rode a local man on his Massey Ferguson tractor to clear the debris, they were married just over a year later…..the rest is history.
Emma, a happy, positive person, brings a little joy to others making them smile with her designs. Her go-to tools are a dip-pen and watercolours and she is happiest sitting at her drawing board doodling. In her garden studio in Co Mayo is where the magic happens and we love her designs and her cards as Gaeilge.
