These yellow blue love birds are handmade and each one is different. The forms are simple created in lots of different poses to give the impression of movement and energy when they are placed together. They look great grouped together on a deck, doorstep or windowsill creating a colourful focal point.
They are fired to stoneware temperature and can be used outdoors as well as inside. Each piece is stamped with the logo of Irish artist Anita Reynolds. Anita is a textile artist and ceramic artist and both mediums have a wonderful feeling of movement and life.
Anita creates in her studio overlooking the green pastures of the Royal County close to the heritage town of Trim. Her work is inspired by the meadows, canals, bogs, gardens and historical heritage of Ireland.
She is a graduate of the National College of art and Design Dublin. After qualifying in textiles and ceramics she went on to teach and spent 25 years in the classroom.
She is now working full time as an artist and makes art that is joyful colourful and positive and I spreads that love for our beautiful precious natural world through her art.
