Each landscape tells a story.¬† Keem Beach is one of Ireland's most beautiful. Situated on Achill Island in Co. Mayo its an idyllic location on the Wild Atlantic Way.¬†

Each piece is made on cotton that is printed with my design and then stitched by machine and by hand. A layer of wadding is added to create a relief effect after stitching

Each textile art piece is in a quality Irish¬†white wooden and glass box frame 31cm by 31cm with a picture opening of 14cm by 14cm. The frame has an adjustable metal hook on the back to allow for hanging.

Her Story¬†¬†

Anita creates ceramics and textiles in her studio overlooking the green pastures of the Royal County close to the heritage town of Trim.¬†Her work is inspired by the meadows, canals, bogs, gardens and historical heritage of Ireland.¬†

She is¬†a graduate of the National College of art and Design Dublin. After qualifying in textiles and ceramics she went on to teach¬†and spent 25 years in the classroom.

She is¬†now working full time as an artist¬†and makes art that is joyful colourful and positive and I hope to spread some of my love for our beautiful precious natural world through my art.
